What is collected on this website
Browsing this site does not require an account and sets no tracking cookies. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and operation. These logs are kept for no longer than 30 days and then deleted. Aggregate, cookie-free analytics may be used to count page views; these do not identify you.
If you email me, I keep the correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows, and for up to six years afterwards where it forms part of a business record.
The free tools
The tools on this site analyse code or configuration you submit. The material you submit is processed in memory for the duration of the check and is not stored on my systems afterwards.
The analysis is performed using the Claude API provided by Anthropic, PBC, which acts as a processor. Submitted material is sent to Anthropic for the purpose of generating your report and is handled under Anthropic's commercial terms, which do not permit use of API inputs for model training. Anthropic processes data in the United States; transfers are covered by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
After a check completes, anonymised results are retained for aggregate statistics: the type of project, which checks were triggered and the date. No code, repository names, URLs or personal identifiers are kept.
You may optionally provide an email address to receive your report. That address is used to send the report and, only if you tick the separate consent box, occasional updates about the tools. If you do not consent to updates, the address is deleted 30 days after the report is sent. You can withdraw that consent at any time using the link in any email or by writing to me.
Do not submit material containing other people's personal data unless you have the authority to do so. The tools are intended for code and configuration, not for customer records.
How long data is kept
- Server logs: up to 30 days.
- Email address given only to receive a report: 30 days after the report is sent.
- Email address for updates: until you withdraw consent. The record of your consent (date, wording you agreed to and how it was given) is kept for as long as you receive updates and for two years afterwards, to show that consent was obtained.
- After you withdraw consent, your address is kept on a suppression list only so that you are not emailed again.
- Enquiries and work correspondence: up to six years after the work ends.
- Anonymised tool statistics: kept indefinitely, as they identify no one.
Legal bases
- Responding to enquiries and performing work you ask for: contract.
- Running the free tools you choose to use: legitimate interests and contract.
- Security logs and aggregate statistics: legitimate interests.
- Updates about the tools: consent.
- Business records: legal obligation.
Who else sees your data
Cloudflare, Inc. (hosting and logs), Anthropic PBC (analysis for the tools) and Google LLC (business email). Each acts under a data processing agreement. I do not sell personal data and do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal data I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to or restrict its processing, and withdraw any consent you have given. Write to svitlana@horodylova-ltd.co.uk. I respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with how I handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
This policy is updated when the site or the tools change. The date at the top shows the current version.
